Aprons All Around was created in 2002 after its owner and designer, Michelle Heck, found an old housework apron at a garage sale and realized it solved several messy problems. Toddler shoes on her trousers, spaghetti splatters on her shirts, stains from everyday cleaning and maintaining a home were a thing of the past when saved by a lightweight, comfortable apron just like her mom used to wear. Dissatisfied with the traditional one-size-fits-all aprons in the marketplace, Michelle decided to create cute and comfortable aprons that actually fit a variety of body styles.
Michelle Heck is a wife and mother of two boys in Seattle, Washington. After a successful career in event planning and retail management, Michelle needed an outlet for her endless energy and enthusiasm while still saving time for overseeing her home and family. An avid cook and meticulous house-cleaner, Michelle wears her apron all day because, "life is messy; you need to wear your apron."
Although Aprons All Around is a one-woman shop, it is generously supported by friends and family--from her mother-in-law’s design ideas to her husband’s technical support--and many others for whom each apron is named.
